We had the pleasure of inviting Morgan Douglas Nuth to our open day to demonstrate some popular on trend wedding floral installations. The day was in association with Oasis Floral Products UK who spoke about their products that were used in the demonstration and also to promote some of their new ranges including their biodegradable range.
It wouldn’t be a wedding floral demonstration without a candelabra, so Morgan made an impressive piece to show it’s done.
Inside is a noir ideal floral foam maxlife sphere that he cut into 4 pieces and taped them around the central candle stick. This method is a more effective way of achieving a rounded shape.
Morgan explained how the floral foam works for making a floral wall – a very popular wedding design at the moment. The simple formation of the noir ideal floral foam maxlife tile makes constructing a floral wall easy. The foam tile features nine separate blocks of foam with gaps in between – this helps each section retain water, as the effect of gravity pulling water to the base is not as strong. The results is that all the flowers in the arrangement have a reliable water source so they can last as long as possible.
A floral arch is bang on trend, so naturally we had to have one!
Morgan placed a wreath ring then a sphere on top of that inside each urn to which he anchored the willow for the base of the arch. Then it’s just a case of choosing your florals for your design.
This stunning cascading table runner was created using a Naylorbase master board and one of our urns on the table top. The cascading part has a netted garland supporting the flowers then a double brick tray with oasis at the bottom.

Then to finish off, Morgan showed us one of the more unusual pieces trending at the moment. He made a ‘muff’ base with wool and wire then attached flowers over the top.
Blu enjoyed the demos too!
